All TreatGx users now have access to the updated treatment algorithm for Chronic Heart Failure. As always, these updates include the TreatGx standard of providing personalized dosing based on pharmacogenetics, kidney function, liver function, and drug interactions.

This update includes recommendations from the 2021 Update to the 2017 ACC Expert Consensus Decision Pathway for Optimization of Heart Failure Treatment: Answers to 10 Pivotal Issues About Heart Failure With Reduced Ejection Fraction: A Report of the American College of Cardiology Solution Set Oversight Committee[1], the CCS/CHFS Heart Failure Guidelines Update: Defining a New Pharmacologic Standard of Care for Heart Failure With Reduced Ejection Fraction[2], and the 2021 ESC Guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic heart failure[3].

The medication options were reviewed and updated based on recent guidelines and monographs for use in those with chronic heart failure. Dapagliflozin and empagliflozin have been added to this algorithm as part of this update.
