Medication treatment options and dosing are based on the most up to date guidelines from the American College of Gastroenterology, British Society of Gastroenterology, Canadian Association of Gastroenterology and National Institute for Health and Care Excellence. This algorithm also includes patient-specific dosing of medications based on age, weight, liver and kidney function, as well as pharmacogenetic information where relevant.
